Description

This role manages and develops services within the Google Cloud Platform environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform GCP administration tasks, including user access management, service account creation, and troubleshooting with Cloud Security.
• Monitor GCP service performance and proactively address issues in data pipelines or job execution slowdowns.
• Manage upgrades for GCP services like Cloud Composer and collaborate with cloud engineering on service configuration.
• Develop Data Engineering pipelines for data ingestion into GCP Platform/BigQuery and lead offshore GCP engineers on development tasks.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for artifact deployment and create Looker dashboards for BigQuery performance monitoring.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience administering GCP services such as Cloud Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Composer.
• Expertise in GCP Cost management using SRE Log analytics for BigQuery and workload management.
• Experience with ETL processes, streaming data, Kafka, API, and SQL.
• Proficiency in scripting using Python and Windows/Unix commands.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows, Git, and Jenkins supporting multiple environments.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements such as SOX and CCPA.
• Knowledge of upgrading Composer within GCP.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
