Description

You will manage Google Cloud Platform environments and provide technical direction for data engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative tasks including project setup, user authorization, access control, and job scheduling.
• Provide technical guidance to data engineering teams regarding Talend pipeline design and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot environment, software, and application-level issues for production services.
• Manage Talend server builds, version upgrades, maintenance, and migrations.
• Lead a team and prioritize tasks in consultation with business stakeholders and Product Owners.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cloud administration and automation.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services including Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Pub-Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Google Composer.
• Expertise in Talend products: Talend Studio, Talend Administration Centre, Talend Big Data, Talend Metadata Bridge, and Talend Data Quality.
• Strong experience in ETL, data migration, and data consolidation.
• Proficiency in Kafka, API, and Big Data patterns including streaming and messaging.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with Oracle PL/SQL programming.
• Experience with Git workflows using tools such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Proficiency in Unix Shell scripting for program testing and automation.
• Experience working within Agile application development environments.

Preferred Skills

• Python for automating repetitive tasks and Linux command line proficiency (bash, SSH, vim).
• Experience with CI/CD infrastructure provisioning and automated deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with data governance tools and BI frameworks like Power BI or Tableau.
