Description

Provide L2 administration and support for Google Cloud Platform environments, ensuring stability and efficiency across production and non-production systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer data services including DataProc and BigQuery, managing fixed modules, slot allocation, and deployments.
• Build and manage data and IaC pipelines for new services, handling secrets creation, IAM service account management, and project setup.
• Optimize cluster performance, BigQuery usage, and overall application efficiency.
• Automate toil reduction and develop FinOps optimization solutions.
• Provide 16x7 support for production and non-production environments, including weekends.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of hands-on GCP L2 administration experience.
• Proficiency in Python for programming and automation.
• Experience with DataProc, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
• Experience with Spark administration.
• Ability to convert business logic into SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins pipeline creation and CI/CD.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines.
• Knowledge of Cloud Networking and Storage.
• Experience with Atlas and Cloudera Data Platform.

Preferred Skills

• Strong documentation and communication skills for onshore team coordination.
