You will design and build scalable software solutions for big data applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and build fast, scalable, and flexible software solutions.
• Enhance existing big data applications and data pipelines.
• Develop software using Java and Scala within a Linux environment.
• Manage code and builds using git, Maven, and Gradle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Scala.
• Strong SQL and big data querying skills.
• Experience with Hadoop (MapR), Spark, and Yarn.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as MapR DB, HBase, or Cassandra.
• Experience with BigQuery and GCP cloud computing.
• Working knowledge of Hive.
• Proficiency with Linux, git, Maven, and Gradle.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MapR DB specifically.
