Description

You will develop, deploy, and manage Spring Boot APIs within a GCP and GKE microservices environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop, refactor, and manage Spring Boot APIs to meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
• Implement GCP security best practices including IAM, VPC security, and data encryption via Cloud KMS.
• Automate GCP resource management for GKE, Service Mesh, and API Gateway using Infrastructure as Code.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployment and updates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GCP infrastructure, networking, and deployments.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in cloud development.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Apigee Gateway, Service Mesh, and GKE.
• Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience managing infrastructure via Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Practical knowledge of PostgreSQL or GCP AlloyDB.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
• Knowledge of networking components including VPCs, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Experience with testing frameworks including JUnit, Postman, Mockito, RestAssured, and JMeter.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Istio for microservices communication and traffic routing.
