Description

Optimize Google Cloud environments and resolve technical deployment obstacles as a subject matter expert.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Consult with engineering, sales, and customer stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve technical deployment issues.
• Diagnose root causes for customer-reported issues by reproducing errors and building diagnostic tools.
• Design cloud architectures ensuring high availability, security, and visibility.
• Implement infrastructure automation using IaC and immutable infrastructure principles.
• Support production systems at scale.

Required Skills

• 1-5+ years of experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation.
• 1-5+ years of experience with GCP foundational services including IAM, VPC, Cloud Logging, Security controls, Storage, and Compute.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python.
• Experience with GKE Enterprise, Serverless, and Big Data offerings such as Dataproc, Composer, Dataflow, and BigQuery.
• Strong background in containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Knowledge of traffic flow management, including Service Mesh concepts and GTM/LTM.
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, or OTEL.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Istio.
• FinOps domain knowledge.
