Description

You will manage, scale, and secure microservices within Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and refactor Spring Boot APIs in GKE microservices environments.
• Implement GCP security controls using IAM, VPC network policies, and Cloud KMS encryption.
• Automate GCP resource management for GKE, Service Mesh, and API Gateway using Infrastructure as Code.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployment and updates.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues in production environments.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional software engineering or DevOps experience.
• Strong expertise in GCP services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Apigee Gateway.
• Hands-on experience with GKE, Docker, and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
• Experience managing service mesh technologies such as Istio.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
• Practical knowledge of VPCs, firewalls, load balancers, and IAM policies.
• Database experience with PostgreSQL or AlloyDB.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with testing frameworks including JUnit, Postman, Mockito, RestAssured, and JMeter.
• Experience with monitoring and logging in microservices environments.
