Description

You will build and manage scalable microservices within a GCP and GKE environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and refactor Spring Boot APIs to meet performance and security requirements.
• Implement GCP security best practices using IAM, VPC security, and Cloud KMS.
• Automate GCP resource management, including GKE, Service Mesh, and API Gateways, using Infrastructure as Code.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployment and updates.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to GCP infrastructure, networking, and deployments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Apigee, GKE).
• Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience managing infrastructure via Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Practical knowledge of networking, including VPCs, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio.
• Database management experience with PostgreSQL or AlloyDB.
• Competency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with monitoring and logging in a microservices environment.
