Description

Design and engineer scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems on Google Cloud Platform. Lead technical initiatives and mentor entry-level engineers.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and engineer business and technical solutions leveraging GCP services.
• Deploy hybrid systems integrating on-premises infrastructure with Google Cloud components.
• Act as a technical lead and liaison between stakeholders, customers, and IT systems.
• Manage, mentor, and direct the efforts of entry-level engineers.
• Identify and enforce GCP best practices for security and reliability.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in data architecture and management frameworks.
• Hands-on expertise with BigQuery, Composer, Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.
• Proven track record of executing production migration projects on Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Proficiency in Python or another high-level programming language.
• Experience using CI/CD DevOps toolsets and Agile methodology.
• Working knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem and Spark jobs.
• Capability to troubleshoot complex issues within cloud environments.

Preferred Skills

• Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect.
