Description

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms and distributed systems on Google Cloud Platform, owning the end-to-end data lifecycle from ingestion to visualization.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and architectures using GCP services.
• Develop and troubleshoot distributed data applications and database systems.
• Lead technical discussions on architecture, feasibility, and system design.
• Conduct code reviews and oversee quality assurance processes.
• Balance production stability with feature delivery and technical debt reduction.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, Hadoop, and Spark.
• Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, and streaming technologies.
• Expertise in SQL and database schema design.
• Knowledge of Dataflow, Dataproc, and data lake architectures.
• Experience with Data Warehousing and Looker (Views and Models).
• Understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and CI/CD.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing complex projects across multiple geographies.
