Description

You design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure and pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.

You own the full lifecycle of data systems, from architecture to monitoring and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and secure data infrastructure, including pipelines, databases, and data warehouses on GCP.
• Automate data tasks and develop scripting tools to streamline operations and scale with data volume.
• Monitor data quality and implement alerting systems to proactively resolve issues and minimize downtime.
• Optimize data systems to reduce latency and improve processing performance.
• Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to ensure effective data consumption and security compliance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data science on GCP.
• Proficiency with GCP data services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Data Fusion, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, and Google Cloud Storage.
• Strong programming skills in Python (NumPy, Pandas, PySpark), Java (Core Java, Spark with Java, functional interfaces, lambdas, collections), or Scala.
• Experience with GCP data platforms, AWS, and Azure.
• Solid understanding of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with data governance (Dataplex), security, and compliance on GCP.
• Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools such as Cloud Logging, ELK Stack, AppDynamics, New Relic, or Splunk.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Data Engineer certification.
• Knowledge of AI and ML tools.
