Description

Lead the migration of SAP HANA data warehouse objects to Google Cloud BigQuery, implementing data warehouse logic and optimizing queries.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Migrate data warehouse objects from SAP HANA to Google Cloud BigQuery.
• Implement data warehouse logic including surrogate keys, SCD types, and referential integrity.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries involving joins, tables, and ranking functions.
• Develop Python scripts for file handling, database connections, and data type conversions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA (DWH).
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform, specifically BigQuery and GCS.
• Strong SQL skills for complex data manipulation.
• Python proficiency for file operations and database connectivity.
• Experience with BigQuery query optimization.
• Understanding of Pub/Sub and GCS.

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience with large-scale data migrations from HANA to GCP.
