Description

You will build and maintain scalable microservices and data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. You own the end-to-end lifecycle from design and development to deployment and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices and REST APIs using Java (Spring Boot) deployed on GKE.
• Design, build, and optimize large-scale data pipelines using PySpark, DataProc, and BigQuery.
• Migrate existing workloads from Hadoop, Spark, and Hive to GCP infrastructure for improved scalability.
• Manage deployment, support, and performance monitoring across testing and production stages.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable, data-driven software solutions.

Required Skills

• Minimum 6 years of experience in software and data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, multithreading, collections) and Python.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services: DataProc, BigQuery, GKE, and Cloud Storage.
• Expertise in PySpark for data processing and pipeline optimization.
• Solid SQL skills for database management and querying.
• Experience with version control (Git) and Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to script in UNIX/Linux environments using Shell, Python, or Perl.
• Understanding of REST API security practices and data governance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Dataflow for stream and batch processing.
• Proficiency in Perl scripting.
