Description

You will lead the migration of data warehouse assets and ETL pipelines from Teradata to Google Cloud Platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute the migration of data and ETL workflows from Teradata to GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Composer.
• Map existing Teradata workloads to appropriate GCP equivalents and rewrite SQL logic into BigQuery-compliant formats.
• Develop automated workflows for data movement and transformation using Python, Java, or GCP-native tools.
• Optimize data storage, query performance, and cloud costs.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for migration pipelines and production workloads.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in data engineering roles.
• Deep hands-on experience with Teradata, BTEQ, and complex SQL.
• 2+ years of direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency with BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Composer, and Dataproc.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica, Apache Beam, Python, or Java.
• Ability to refactor and translate legacy Teradata logic to GCP.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices in cloud environments.

Preferred Skills

• GCP Professional Data Engineer certification.
• Exposure to Apache Kafka, Cloud Functions, or AI/ML pipelines on GCP.
• Experience in healthcare, retail, or finance domains.
