Description

You will lead the design and implementation of data solutions on Google Cloud Platform, focusing on SAP ERP integrations and cloud migrations. You own the end-to-end data engineering lifecycle, from architecture and modeling to pipeline development and DevOps automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, establishing coding standards, best practices, and technical direction for complex data solutions.
• Design and orchestrate ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer) and Dataflow, integrating data from SAP BW, HANA, and other ERP sources.
• Architect and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models, including star, snowflake, and data vault schemas for analytical workloads.
• Lead on-premise to cloud migrations for enterprise data platforms, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime during SAP dataset transfers.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows using GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, and Terraform, applying infrastructure-as-code principles.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of proven experience with GCP services: BigQuery, Composer, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.
• Strong programming skills in Python and advanced SQL for analytics, transformations, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with SAP data extraction, modeling, and integration from ERP, BW, and/or HANA systems.
• Proficiency in data modeling for data warehouses and lakehouse environments (BigQuery, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Databricks).
• Experience integrating systems using Boomi, SAP SLT, or Google Cortex Framework.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks, security best practices, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with BI teams to optimize models for reporting tools like Power BI and Tableau.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices specifically for data engineering workflows.
• Experience with Salesforce and Oracle data integration.
