Description

You will design and build data solutions on Google Cloud Platform to meet business requirements. You own the migration of data from on-premise platforms like Teradata or Netezza to BigQuery and SQL. You develop ETL applications, test strategies, and technical fixes for cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ETL applications interfacing with customer applications.
• Migrate data from on-premise Big Data platforms (Teradata, Netezza) to GCP.
• Develop test strategies, plans, and cases to validate cloud solutions.
• Analyze testing issues and propose technical fixes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into Python and SQL solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with SQL.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Python.
• Ability to adapt to GCP cloud native SQL and BigQuery.
• Experience working in agile and collaborative team environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Google Data Products including BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and GCS.
• Experience using Jupyter notebooks.
