Description

Design, implement, and manage database solutions within the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem. You will own the lifecycle of database systems, ensuring performance, security, and reliability for high-volume data processing.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage database solutions using AlloyDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and GCP services.
• Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and performance tuning strategies.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement resolutions to ensure system functionality.
• Ensure data security, reliability, and availability by implementing management best practices.
• Maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a database engineer focusing on AlloyDB, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud-based data solutions.
• Deep understanding of database design principles, indexing, partitioning, and optimization.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and performing database performance tuning.
• Experience managing data migration, ETL processes, and data integration across platforms.
• Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
