Description

You will lead the migration of on-premises RDBMS databases to Google Cloud Platform.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to migrate on-premises legacy databases to Google Cloud.
• Collaborate with Agile teams and customers to ensure optimal database performance.
• Execute database migrations with a focus on minimal downtime.
• Apply best practices throughout the full conversion lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on DBA experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DB2.
• 7+ years of strong PL/SQL development experience.
• 3+ years or 5 full-cycle conversions migrating on-premises legacy databases to cloud environments.
• Strong working understanding of GCP Cloud databases including Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Spanner, Firestore, Firebase, BigTable, and BigQuery.
• Experience with Java or Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
