GCP DevOps Architect

You will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud architecture solutions using Compute Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, and Kubernetes Engine.
• Design migration plans for applications, data, and infrastructure to GCP while optimizing resource utilization.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Ansible.
• Configure GCP environments including VPCs, IAM policies, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity.
• Monitor resource usage for performance and cost-efficiency using Stackdriver for observability and logging.
• Design secure architectures focused on regulatory compliance, including data protection and encryption.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and migration.
• Extensive hands-on experience with GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, and App Engine.
• Deep knowledge of BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, including VPC, VPN, Interconnect, and DNS.
• Experience designing microservices architectures and containerized workloads.
• Ability to implement CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
• Proven ability to document architecture decisions and trade-offs.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• GCP certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer.
• Experience with multi-cloud, hybrid cloud architectures, or AI/ML services like Vertex AI.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitOps, or security certifications like CISSP.
