You will support and optimize Google Cloud environments, focusing on GKE and large-scale production systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, reproduce, and determine root causes for customer-reported issues within GKE Enterprise, Serverless, and Big Data architectures.
• Build tools and diagnostic processes to accelerate issue resolution and improve system visibility.
• Design cloud architectures ensuring high availability, security, and effective traffic flow management.
• Support production systems at scale, translating technical and business objectives into actionable solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert and consultant for internal engineering, sales, and customer stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with GCP foundational offerings: IAM, VPC, Cloud Logging, Security controls, Storage, and Compute.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and immutable infrastructure principles.
• Deep knowledge of GKE, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Proficiency in one or more object-oriented languages: Java, Go, or Python.
• Experience with Big Data and analytics offerings such as Dataproc, Composer, Dataflow, and BigQuery.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools including Stackdriver, Prometheus, and OTEL.
• Understanding of Service Mesh concepts and traffic flow management.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Istio.
• FinOps domain knowledge.
