Description

You will lead the design, development, and deployment of Java applications on Google Cloud Platform.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of Java-based applications, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements.
• Architect and implement scalable, secure solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native patterns.
• Oversee cloud migration projects and application development using GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
• Establish coding standards, manage code reviews, and enforce CI/CD pipeline adherence using Jenkins and GitHub.
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and product owners.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional Java development experience.
• 2-3 years in a technical lead or leadership role.
• Expertise in Java (8 or above), Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful API design.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka.

Preferred Skills

• GCP certification (Professional Cloud Architect or Developer).
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or frontend technologies like Angular and JavaScript.
