Description

Design, operate, and support Kubernetes platforms across bare-metal clusters and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) on Google Cloud Platform. You will ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of production systems while implementing GitOps-based deployment workflows.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate Kubernetes platforms, including bare-metal clusters and GKE, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement GitOps workflows using Argo CD and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Harness, or CircleCI.
• Deploy applications using Helm, including canary and progressive delivery strategies.
• Implement observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Tempo, performing root cause analysis for incidents.
• Provision and manage GCP infrastructure using Terraform and automate operations with IaC.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with Kubernetes architecture and administration.
• Strong hands-on experience managing bare-metal Kubernetes clusters and GKE.
• Solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and networking.
• Proven experience with GitOps practices and tools like Argo CD.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Harness, or CircleCI.
• Practical experience with Helm and canary/progressive deployments.
• Strong expertise in observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Tempo.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of Java (Spring Boot) and/or Node.js frameworks.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, service-to-service communication, and SRE practices (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets).
• Experience with Ansible, hybrid/multi-cloud environments, or performance tuning on GCP.
