Description

Lead the design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable cloud-native APIs on Google Cloud Platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement GCP-based cloud architectures using Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and App Engine.
• Build data ingestion solutions for real-time and batch processing using Pub/Sub and Dataflow.
• Configure API Gateway for secure access, traffic management, caching, and throttling.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build or GitHub Actions to automate deployments and resource provisioning.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, App Engine, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL.
• Expertise in Java and microservices architecture.
• Strong background in REST API development and management.
• Proficiency with API security protocols including OAuth2 and JWT.
• Experience with API Gateway and OpenAPI/Swagger standards.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Experience implementing IAM policies, VPCs, and firewalls.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Dataflow and Dataproc.
• Knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC2 compliance standards.
