Description

You will design, implement, and support edge analytical solutions within a Google Cloud ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Build and support data ingestion jobs from multiple sources and formats using GCP services.
• Develop repeatable and reusable data extraction pipelines to standardize ingestion processes.
• Automate manual processes and redesign infrastructure to improve scalability and data delivery.
• Optimize query performance and data access techniques in collaboration with senior engineers.
• Apply modern software practices including serverless computing, microservices, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Big Data Engineer.
• 3+ years of experience with Apache Spark, Hive, and HDFS.
• 3+ years of experience using SQL and Scala or Python.
• 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• 2+ years of experience with build management tools like Maven or Gradle.
• Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Deep expertise in GCP technologies including BigQuery, DataProc, Dataflow, Composer, and DataStream.
• Experience with Beam and source code control systems like Git or GitHub.
