Description

Define and implement security guardrails across Google Cloud to ensure secure-by-default onboarding and audit readiness.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate security and compliance requirements into technical guardrails, including Organization Policies and baseline configurations.
• Define encryption, key management, and secrets-handling patterns for the GCP environment.
• Establish logging, monitoring, and evidence-retention standards to support audit readiness.
• Automate guardrail implementation and validation using Python and Terraform.
• Partner with engineering teams to embed security controls early in the onboarding lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cloud security, platform security, or security engineering.
• Strong understanding of GCP security fundamentals, including Organization Policies and IAM hardening.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Python in cloud delivery or automation contexts.
• Ability to map security controls to technical implementations and evidence artifacts.
• Experience with GCP-native controls and centralized policy enforcement.
• Practical delivery mindset with a focus on scalable, repeatable standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience driving exception handling workflows and risk-acceptance inputs.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with security and compliance stakeholders.
