Description

Support statewide road network efforts by preparing city and county street data and maintaining geospatial databases.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Edit road centerlines and associated characteristics within geospatial databases.
• Coordinate with local governmental entities to obtain data and verify road ownership.
• Query databases and validate data accuracy for inclusion in the road network.
• Create and produce GIS maps and data using geospatial tools.
• Prepare and deliver technical reports to supervisors and stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS 10.x Desktop software suite.
• Experience using ArcGIS editing tools and general GIS principles.
• Familiarity with shapefiles and personal/file geodatabases.
• Understanding of geodatabase topology and editing within an SDE multi-user database.
• Ability to perform database queries and data validation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for inter-agency coordination.
• Completion or near completion of a four-year college degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience creating and editing GIS data.
• GIS work experience within a city or county government agency.
