Description

The GenAI / Bedrock Architect owns the technical design of generative AI solutions built on Amazon Bedrock and the broader AWS AI stack.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Define secure, repeatable reference architectures spanning Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q Business, and Amazon QuickSight.
• Design generative AI patterns including foundation model selection, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and tool calling.
• Establish secure AI foundations covering identity, IAM, encryption, logging, data-boundary controls, and audit patterns.
• Set model and retrieval evaluation strategies, oversee iterative tuning, and produce production-readiness gap analyses.
• Lead architecture and security workshops, enable customer engineering teams through paired design, and provide technical direction.

Required Skills

• 10+ years overall experience with significant recent expertise in AI/ML and cloud architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience designing generative AI solutions on Amazon Bedrock or comparable foundation-model platforms.
• Deep understanding of LLM application patterns: RAG, agents, prompt engineering, grounding, and model evaluation.
• Solid grounding in the broader AWS stack, including IAM, networking, storage, encryption, and security fundamentals.
• Experience defining guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and responsible-AI controls, including PHI/PII handling.
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to lead workshops and explain technical concepts to mixed audiences.
• Familiarity with spec-driven development workflows and MCP (Model Context Protocol) based tooling.

Preferred Skills

• Experience delivering AI solutions in regulated or public-sector environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem integration (SharePoint, Exchange, Teams) and tools like ServiceNow, Jira, Dynatrace, or Wiz.
• Background in MLOps, CI/CD, or infrastructure-as-code on AWS.
