Description

You will manage, tune, and maintain database environments to ensure high functionality and production uptime.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Install, tune, implement, and upgrade DBMS installations including Sybase, MS SQL Server, and Postgres.
• Design new databases based on storage needs and user access requirements.
• Monitor systems, including work processes, system logs, locks, and disk space, to maintain service levels.
• Write and deploy SQL patches, support programs, and scripts to automate deployment and increase storage capacity.
• Manage replication setup, troubleshooting, and failovers.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in database engineering.
• Expertise in SAP ASE/Sybase, MS SQL Server, and Postgres.
• Proficiency with Redis.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Scripting experience using Python, Shell, and Ansible.
• Experience with data cleansing, integrity verification, and access control implementation.
