Description

You will configure and maintain the GenTax system to support tax administration workflows and business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Configure GenTax modules including returns, letters, penalty, interest, transactions, customer types, and workflow.
• Gather requirements and prepare implementation specifications for agency systems.
• Manage the installation, testing, and maintenance of business applications and vendor-supplied modifications.
• Troubleshoot system availability, functionality, and performance issues in coordination with vendors.
• Monitor database and financial systems to perform tuning adjustments for optimal performance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Proven experience implementing GenTax discovery at a revenue state agency site.
• 3+ years of working knowledge in GenTax modules: Discovery, Collections, Taxpayer Access Point (TAP), General Ledger, Registration, Returns, Fraud, and Payments.
• Specialization in creating new campaigns for collections.
• Proficiency with MS Visual Basic (.NET) and Oracle.
• Experience with MS SQL Server and relational databases.
• Strong debugging and software testing capabilities.
• Familiarity with both traditional and Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to manage source control, scripting, and configuration management processes.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification.
