Description

You will build and support cloud-based, open-source systems for processing geospatial data assets via an API platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable APIs and associative architecture to support thousands of requests per second.
• Collaborate with internal development communities to integrate data sets into the asset platform.
• Manage the full software life cycle from Proof of Concept and MVP through to Production and Deprecation.
• Lead advancements in understanding environmental influences on on-field performance and risk factors.

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Go, Python, or Java.
• Proficiency in Go, Scala, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Bash, Python, or R.
• Experience developing REST or GraphQL HTTP APIs using open-source technologies in cloud environments.
• Ability to build and maintain modern cloud architecture, such as AWS or Google Cloud.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS and version control systems like GitHub, SVN, or Maven.
• Experience using Docker for deployment within CI/CD environments, preferably with Kubernetes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• 4 years of experience with Golang and geospatial technologies.
• Kafka stream processing, distributed systems (Argo, Spark), and Machine Learning.
