Description
You will provide technical support for the creation and maintenance of critical geospatial infrastructure data and feature data.
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and perform quality control on essential geospatial infrastructure data for company-wide applications.
- Assemble and analyze geospatial data to support Positive Train Control (PTC) subdivision files and compliance.
- Convert field-generated spatial data into digital networks that comply with established database and data model standards.
- Perform topology corrections and geometric modifications using GIS software tools to ensure data quality.
- Review and promote geospatial data change sets produced by CADD technicians.
- Collaborate with engineering and other departments to support Enterprise GIS goals and inventory analysis.
Required Skills
- 6 years of experience in GIS-related roles.
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with CADD and PTC systems.
- Intermediate project management and decision-making skills.
- Ability to interpret track geometrics and field-based feature placement information.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
