Description

Lead GIS projects and manage the full lifecycle from data administration to cartographic production.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer the GIS data warehouse, managing feature data, imagery, and security permissions.
• Develop and maintain online mapping applications and static maps for public information.
• Perform complex geospatial tasks including proximity analysis, geo-coding, and spatial statistics.
• Collaborate with external agencies to resolve data discrepancies and evaluate software compatibility.
• Conduct GIS training sessions for small groups and lead project documentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in GIS analysis and project leadership.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and analysis.
• Experience with SQL database management within Azure environments.
• Advanced knowledge of geo-processing, layer merging, and data projections.
• Ability to manage data warehouses, including georeferencing and attribute data.
• Proven experience in cartographic production for digital and hard copy formats.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate level education.
