Description

You will design and implement GIS solutions that integrate geospatial data and platform technologies to meet spatial data management needs.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable GIS solutions by translating stakeholder requirements into technical designs and architecture diagrams.
• Develop strategies for geospatial data acquisition, storage, and management while ensuring data integrity and security.
• Design and optimize spatial databases to improve data retrieval and analysis efficiency.
• Integrate GIS platforms with existing enterprise systems, databases, and applications to ensure interoperability.
• Lead development teams through technical guidance, training, and regular audits of platform implementations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a GIS Solution Architect or similar role.
• Proven experience using the ESRI Suite of Products.
• Experience working within the Utilities sector.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS, QGIS, and open-source GIS solutions.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• In-depth knowledge of spatial databases and geospatial data analysis.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ESRI GIS web development and APIs.
• Knowledge of OGC geospatial data standards.
• Familiarity with data visualization and mapping libraries.
