Description

Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Management • Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, operational challenges, and technology needs. • Elicit, document, analyze, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements. • Create business process maps, workflow diagrams, use cases, user stories, and process documentation. • Facilitate workshops, interviews and requirements-gathering sessions . • Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle and ensure alignment with business goals. • Support solution design and ensure requirements traceability. Project Delivery & Coordination • Support project managers and business leaders in planning, execution, and delivery of technology initiatives. • Coordinate project activities, milestones, risks, issues, and action items. • Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, document decisions, and track follow-up actions. • Assist with project scope, prioritization, resource coordination, and stakeholder communications. • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication • Serve as the liaison between business users, technology teams, vendors, and leadership. • Communicate complex technical concepts in business-friendly language. • Build strong working relationships across departments and organizational levels. • Prepare executive-ready presentations, reports, and status updates. • Facilitate consensus among diverse stakeholder groups. GIS & Data Management • Support GIS-related business processes, applications, and data workflows. • Assist in defining business requirements for spatial data, mapping applications, mobile solutions, and location-based analytics. • Help ensure data quality, governance, and consistency across enterprise GIS solutions Change Management & Training • Assess and support change management activities for new systems and processes. • Develop training materials, user guides, and process documentation. • Facilitate training sessions and user onboarding activities. • Drive user adoption and gather feedback for continuous enhancement opportunities. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred but not required. • Candidates with relevant professional experience, technical training, industry certifications, or demonstrated business analysis expertise will be considered. • Strong understanding of Geospatial concepts including spatial data management. • Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst experience supporting business systems, technology initiatives, or process improvement programs. • Proven experience gathering and documenting business requirements. • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies. • Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and requirements sessions. • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency with Microsoft Product Suite, Visio, and project collaboration tools. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS Suite, ArcGIS Enterprise, or related geospatial technologies. • Experience supporting pipelines, asset management, or operations. • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, integrations, and reporting solutions. • Experience with Power Platform, Power BI, Azure, SQL, or data analytics tools. • Certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification
