Description

You will lead the design and implementation of a multi-environment ArcGIS Enterprise architecture, ensuring high availability and environment isolation.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Define system architecture, networking, and storage configurations for staging and production ArcGIS Enterprise instances.
• Perform installation and initial configuration of ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3 or higher on Commonwealth servers.
• Design and manage geospatial data infrastructure, including SQL Server enterprise geodatabases, to ensure data integrity.
• Automate deployment and maintenance of GIS environments using Python (ArcPy) and PowerShell.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to GIS analysts on enterprise administration and monitoring.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in GIS architecture and deployment, preferably in Microsoft or Azure environments.
• 5+ years of experience designing and deploying ArcGIS Enterprise in multi-environment configurations.
• 5+ years of proficiency in DNS, port assignment, and firewall policy management for ArcGIS Server.
• 5+ years of proficiency using Python (ArcPy, Pandas) and SQL for GIS management and automation.
• Expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise components: Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, Web Adapter, and ArcGIS Object Store.
• Experience with geodatabase design and spatial analysis.
• Familiarity with GIS web services including REST, SOAP, and APIs.

Preferred Skills

• ESRI-certified Enterprise System Design Professional (ESDP2201).
• Experience using System Designer, ArcGIS Monitor, System Log Parser, and eGDB Health.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices for GIS application deployment.
