Description

You maintain in-house planning web tools and provide GIS support to transportation planning staff. You ensure the accuracy of roadway inventory and traffic projection data through rigorous geospatial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collect, manage, and analyze geospatial data from diverse sources.
• Perform data cleaning, manipulation, and quality control for GIS databases.
• Maintain the Pathways for Planning System (P4P) and associated documentation.
• Create detailed maps, charts, and reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers on geospatial visualization solutions.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online for data management and app building.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or PostGIS database management.
• Practical knowledge of linear referencing systems in GIS and tabular formats.
• Ability to automate geospatial processes using Python or Model Builder.
• Foundational understanding of spatial analysis techniques and cartography principles.
• Basic understanding of programming logic and database management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with web mapping in AWS using Mapbox.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python within a GIS context.
• Familiarity with R, HTML, and JSON.
