Description

You will maintain in-house planning web tools and provide GIS support to transportation planning staff. You will own the full lifecycle of geospatial data from collection to visualization.

Responsibilities

• Collect, manage, and analyze geospatial data from diverse sources.
• Perform data cleaning, manipulation, and quality control to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain and update GIS databases and associated documentation.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers on geospatial data visualization.
• Evaluate data, tools, and web platforms for technical improvements.

Required Skills

• 1+ years of experience with ArcGIS Pro.
• 1+ years of experience in ArcGIS Online data management, map creation, and app building.
• 1+ years of experience with database management tools such as Oracle or PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
• 1+ years of experience automating geospatial processes using Python, Model Builder, or similar techniques.
• 1+ years of experience with programming basics.
• Understanding of spatial analysis techniques, cartography principles, and linear referencing systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python and SQL in a GIS environment.
• Web mapping experience using Mapbox within an AWS environment.
• Familiarity with R, HTML, and JSON.
