Description

You will manage geospatial data workflows and support natural hazard modeling through spatial analysis and automation.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze vector and raster datasets, including geo-referencing maps and aerial photographs.
• Digitize data and prepare inputs for natural hazard models.
• Perform post-processing of model outputs to generate hazard maps.
• Manage ArcGIS Server and SQL Server environments, including creating data tables.
• Automate data workflows using Python scripting to overwrite and manage historical datasets.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in GIS development or analysis.
• Proficiency in managing ArcGIS Server and SQL Server as an admin or power user.
• Experience working within ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Web App Builder.
• Strong Python scripting skills for data manipulation and automation.
• Hands-on experience with raster datasets for slope and land analysis.
• Knowledge of Open Source GIS and QGIS tools.
• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Natural Hazards Research.
• Proficiency with ArcMap's Hydrology toolbox, ArcHydro, or hydraulic modeling.
