Description

You will design, develop, and implement GIS applications and tools for the electric, gas, or telecommunications sectors.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web and mobile GIS solutions.
• Integrate GIS systems with enterprise databases to ensure data interoperability.
• Manage geospatial databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.
• Develop custom scripts, APIs, and data pipelines to automate workflows.
• Implement data models to maintain system scalability and performance.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a GIS Engineer in electric, gas, or telecommunications industries.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, C++, or Java.
• Experience with GIS software and software development kits (SDKs).
• Proven ability in system integration and data interoperability.
• Experience developing web and mobile GIS solutions.
• Strong technical communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, GIS, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• GIS certification (e.g., GISP) or an advanced degree.
• Experience with cloud-based GIS solutions, cloud computing, and system administration.
• Proficiency with advanced data visualization tools and Git version control.
