Description

You will manage geospatial data and support multiple GIS projects through map production and database maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support simultaneous GIS projects and tasks.
• Use geospatial data to create and produce GIS maps and data.
• Query databases and validate data accuracy.
• Prepare and deliver technical reports to supervisors and stakeholders.
• Perform data editing using ArcGIS tools within SDE multi-user databases.

Required Skills

• Proficiency with the ESRI ArcGIS 10.x Desktop software suite.
• Working knowledge of GIS principles and concepts.
• Experience with shapefiles and personal/file geodatabases.
• Knowledge of geodatabase topology and editing in SDE multi-user databases.
• Ability to query databases and perform data validation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Completion or near completion of a four-year degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience creating and editing GIS data.
• GIS work experience with a city or county government agency.
