Description

You will lead the design, implementation, and management of GIS systems focused on functionality, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new application components, services, and prototypes.
• Contribute to architecture to ensure secure, maintainable software and communicate implications to leadership.
• Serve as the top-tier technical escalation point for critical pre-production issues.
• Monitor system activities in production and pre-production environments using ArcGIS Monitor and Fiddler.
• Collaborate with development, testing, infrastructure, and operations teams to resolve defects and implement solutions.
• Drive design reviews and define interfaces between code modules.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in GIS development and system management.
• ESRI ArcGIS expertise, specifically GIS Server, Portal, and WebAppBuilder.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, GeoEvent Server, GeoAnalytics Server, and Image Server.
• Strong Python scripting skills (Python 2.6+ and 3.3+) including REST API development.
• Experience developing microservices and APIs using .NET Core.
• Web development proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and Dojo.
• Experience building scalable web applications using Angular, React, or Node JS.
• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS API for JavaScript v4.8 and ArcObjects development.
• Version control proficiency using Git or TFS.
• Knowledge of WebApi2, SOAP, RESTful webservices, and SQL database maintenance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using ArcGIS Monitor for threshold alerts and system monitoring.
• Familiarity with ARC FM.
