Description

You will manage the Bureau of Parks & Conservation's geographic information system, producing maps and spatial deliverables while developing custom GIS tools.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage geographic information system data and infrastructure.
• Produce maps and cartographic deliverables for various stakeholders.
• Develop custom GIS tools, solutions, and spatial analysis applications.
• Collaborate with operational staff, Park Rangers, and internal divisions.
• Conduct periodic field work across the state.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in GIS roles.
• Proficiency with Esri software, specifically ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Experience creating, editing, managing, and publishing GIS feature data in geodatabases and cloud environments.
• Strong cartographic design skills.
• Working knowledge of geospatial analysis methods and ESRI GIS applications development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Avenza MAPublisher.
• Experience with Arcade or JavaScript programming for GIS applications and API integration.
