Description

You will support and administer Linux web applications within a distributed environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux web applications using distributed administration methods.
• Use Python and the Python SDK to interact with web applications.
• Support applications utilizing user authentication and authorization management for secure server connections.
• Automate workflows and integrate software via REST APIs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Linux-based applications and systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience supporting and administering Linux web applications.
• Proficiency in Python and experience using the Python SDK.
• Experience with software development, scripting, or automating workflows using REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with user authentication and authorization management methods.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems and administration.
• Experience with software integration and distributed administration.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with network-attached storage protocols like POSIX and Amazon S3.
• Experience with enterprise Identity Management systems such as Globus/CILogon, UW NetID/SAML/Shibboleth/OIDC, or Active Directory/Entra ID.
• Knowledge of cloud networking and storage including Azure Blob Storage and Google Cloud Storage.
