Description

You will administer, maintain, and support the Energy Management System (EMS) and its ancillary applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer EMS upgrade systems through various testing cycles and manage application integration.
• Execute code builds, patch implementations, database updates, and migrations across testing environments.
• Monitor EMS systems and applications continuously to maximize uptime and mitigate failures.
• Respond to system failures, perform emergency recovery, and support disaster recovery drills on a 24/7 basis.
• Perform structured and unstructured testing, log defects, and work with vendors to reproduce and fix issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in system administration on Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with RDBMS, specifically Oracle or SQL DB.
• Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Inter Control-Center Communication Protocol (ICCP).
• Ability to perform system setup, testing, and troubleshooting with market participants.
• Experience managing real-time data collection and repairing EMS interfaces.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• System administration experience in GE EMS Suite.
• Experience with other EMS vendors such as Hitachi/ABB, Siemens, OSI, or GE PowerOn Reliance.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
