Description

You will lead the architecture and hands-on implementation of integration solutions using Go, focusing on microservices, APIs, and stream processing.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise integration patterns including REST/JSON, gRPC, message-driven, and event sourcing.
• Establish coding standards, conduct design reviews, performance tuning, and fault-injection testing.
• Drive API lifecycle management by designing specifications (OpenAPI), managing versioning, and enforcing policies.
• Mentor development teams on Go-specific patterns such as concurrency, error handling, and dependency management.
• Prototype and evaluate new middleware, message brokers, and API gateways for performance, scalability, and security.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years architecting or implementing integrations in Go.
• Deep expertise in Go fundamentals: goroutines, channels, interfaces, and modules.
• Proven track record designing RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services at scale.
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ) and event-driven architectures.
• Working understanding of containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, GCP or Azure) and cloud-native best practices.
• Strong grasp of security principles including OAuth2/OpenID Connect, mTLS, API gateways, and encryption.
