Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture decisions for Claim Validation Engine on Prism (Go + PostgreSQL + Kafka-ready)
• Define and own the extension design for Prism's existing rule evaluation engine for claim validation rules
• Oversee reverse-engineering approach for Que's T-SQL stored procedures (~50K LOC)
• Conduct Prism architecture assessment: layering, error handling, logging, Kafka conventions
• Author and lock the OpenAPI spec / REST contract for the Validation API
• Conduct HITL (Human-in-the-Loop) architect PR reviews before any AI-generated code merges
• Represent Sonata in Joint Steering Committee meetings with Integra CIO and program stakeholders
• Ensure Prism coding standards, CI policies, and NFRs (non-functional requirements) are met throughout
• Own the evidence pack design for behavioral parity acceptance

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–12+ years of software engineering; 3+ years in solution architecture for enterprise modernization
• Strong Go (Golang) expertise — microservices, API design, rule engines, GitHub Copilot for Go/test code (no PHI); Azure Foundry for spec/RE work
• Deep PostgreSQL experience — schema design, migrations, performance
• T-SQL / SQL Server reverse-engineering or migration experience
• Healthcare IT domain knowledge — payer/provider workflows, claims processing, DMEPOS or PBM a strong plus
• Experience with Kafka or event-driven architecture
• Familiarity with AI-assisted SDLC tools — GitHub Copilot, Azure Foundry, or equivalent LLM engineering platforms
• REST API design and OpenAPI specification
• Azure cloud experience (AKS, Azure SQL, Azure Foundry)
• Comfortable with HIPAA compliance requirements and PHI data handling in secure environments
• Strong stakeholder communication — able to present to CIO-level client executives
