Description

Lead architecture decisions and technical delivery for the Claim Validation Engine, modernizing legacy systems with Go, PostgreSQL, and Kafka.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the extension design for Prism’s rule evaluation engine and reverse-engineer ~50K LOC of Que’s T-SQL stored procedures.
• Conduct architecture assessments covering layering, error handling, logging, and Kafka conventions.
• Author and lock the OpenAPI spec and REST contract for the Validation API.
• Represent the team in Joint Steering Committee meetings with Integra CIO and program stakeholders.
• Ensure Prism coding standards, CI policies, and NFRs are met, including HITL architect PR reviews for AI-generated code.

Required Skills

• 8–12+ years of software engineering with 3+ years in solution architecture for enterprise modernization.
• Strong Go (Golang) expertise in microservices, API design, and rule engines.
• Deep PostgreSQL experience including schema design, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Experience with T-SQL/SQL Server reverse-engineering or migration.
• Proficiency with Kafka or event-driven architecture.
• REST API design and OpenAPI specification.
• Azure cloud experience (AKS, Azure SQL, Azure Foundry).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted SDLC tools (GitHub Copilot, Azure Foundry, LLM platforms).
• Comfortable with HIPAA compliance and PHI data handling.

Preferred Skills

• Healthcare IT domain knowledge, specifically payer/provider workflows, claims processing, DMEPOS, or PBM.
