Description

You will build and maintain external customer-facing Managed Database products, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Caching, Kafka, OpenSearch, and MongoDB.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain distributed systems and APIs using Golang.
• Provide last-line support for DBaaS products and troubleshoot production issues.
• Author and review technical designs for resilience, fault tolerance, and failure domains.
• Collaborate with agile peers to integrate components across the infrastructure stack.
• Work directly with customers to identify needs and deliver simple, effective solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience with Golang.
• Proficiency in developing APIs with Golang, including concurrency patterns.
• Strong background in building and maintaining distributed systems.
• Experience with container workload engines like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and frameworks.
• Familiarity with message bus and queuing technologies like Kafka.
• Experience with gRPC and REST protocols.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana.
• Exposure to specific database backends (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, OpenSearch).
