Description

You will build and enhance features in the Account domain for a modern microservice-based Loyalty and Benefits platform. You will coordinate with engineers across the platform to share knowledge and principles while driving innovation in a Scrum team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Golang within a microservice architecture.
• Implement asynchronous messaging using Kafka or RabbitMQ for inter-service communication.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated testing and deployment.
• Write comprehensive tests including unit, component, functional, and system integration tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tested business functions and customer journeys.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Golang or another type-safe backend language.
• Experience with microservice architecture, specifically REST and asynchronous messaging.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency with Docker for containerization.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of Postgres, gRPC, GraphQL, Rally, or JIRA.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
