Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Golang / HashiCorp Vault Engineer on behalf of our client in a Remote location. We are looking for a hands-on engineer with strong Golang development and HashiCorp Vault expertise to support and enhance an enterprise credential management platform.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing scalable applications, implementing Vault capabilities, managing secure credentials, and working with IAM and cloud technologies in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and enhance applications and services supporting the credential management platform.
Build and implement HashiCorp Vault capabilities to replace legacy credential management functionality.
Develop Vault integrations, plugins, authentication solutions, and secrets management capabilities.
Support secure storage and management of non-human credentials in alignment with enterprise IAM and security policies.
Perform development, automation, DevOps, engineering, and operational activities.
Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide application support.
Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and usability standards.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on Golang development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with HashiCorp Vault, including:
Authentication backends
Secrets engines
Plugin development
Strong software engineering and scalable application design skills.
Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong understanding of IAM, least-privilege access, secrets management, and secure credential handling.
Experience supporting and troubleshooting production applications.
Familiarity with DevOps, automation, and enterprise development practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience migrating legacy secrets or credential management platforms to HashiCorp Vault.
Experience within financial services or other regulated enterprise environments.
Familiarity with incident management and vulnerability management processes
